There is no difference in pips movement between one time frame&the next.the only difference is the way the grids of the time frame are been calibrated.e.g on 1minute platform of gbpusd the first price may be 1.6550&the next price may be 1.6555 making a 5pips difference between the two prices,but on the 4hrs platform of gbpusd the first price may be 1.6550&the next price may be 1.6600 making a 50pips difference.the movement of the price is the same irrespective of the time frame you are looking@.
2,the type of trader you are will tell,the type of time frame that is more profitable for you.you may use the 1minute time frame to forcast the market&@the end of the day you may record 50pips in you spread sheet.and you may use 4hrs time frame to forcast the market that same day&loss 20pips.so just discover the time frame that works for you.below are different type of traders&the time frame they look@
scalpers=1M,5M,15M&and sometimes 30M.
Day traders=daily chart&sometimes 1hr&4hrs.
Swing traders=weekly chart
position trader=monthly chart.
So the ball is in your cut now.discover yourself&know the time frame that suit u.

Take EUR/USD at 1.2635. If the sell price were to increase to 1.2636 we have a one pip increase. Should the EUR/USD sell price move from 1.2635 up to 1.2735, we say EUR/USD increased 100 pips.

In the example of EURUSD, one pip is worth 1/100th of a US Dollar cent. Because currency traders are concerned with relatively small movements in the forex market, traders talk about that movement in terms of pips.
