I've had a very good track record until I made some bad trades and my confidence was shot. Trading has never been the same. Any advice, insight on how to deal with bad trades is appreciated.

You shall learn from the mistake in order to improve your skill and to increase the probability of success. |

Losing some of your trades can be stressful, however you need to have a shift in your mindset if you want to continue trading and achieve success. |

Once restrategise your trading plan. But if you have a very good track record with your system, even in some losing trades don't get your emotions creep in. Even in a few best systems there are continuous losing trades. |

I will take some time off. Review your strategy and find out what went wrong in your trading plan. if trading plan still sounded? I will go back into the market with much smaller position size and slowly increase if I am profitable again. |

I agree with Harold. You need to re-look your strategy. It may be that your strategy works only at that time when you was trading successfully and as the market changes you were still using the same strategy. I have known of people in the chat room that use a certain system which they claim was so successful and suddenly it don't seem to work. That is why traders have a few strategy so that when the market changes they are ready with another strategy. In trading we are always learning. |

You might need some time off trading to evaluate your trading system or strategy. |
