Lost a bunch of pips today on the USD/JPY CPI trade. July 16th 2010. I think I screwed up taking the trade while the actual number was+ 0.2% and should have only taken the trade at +0.3%. I went long the pair.

When it comes to news trading we should only take the trade when the figure meet our deviation otherwise we call a no trade. One other thing is to look at the sentiment before the news if it is already priced into market we can see a reversion. |

The art to be a discipline trader is difficult to master. Never trade to trade or force a trade when the setup is not idea or we have no edge to win from Mr. Market. Therefore, no trade. |
