In forex trading, it means the system with perfect combination of indicators and settings that can be traded on any market and always make a profit. Ever heard of the "No Loss" promotional adverts online? There are lots of them. I guess these vendors have hired good professional copywriters who know how to concoct the perfect story lines to lure people into buying the strategy, the robot, the indicator, the artificial intelligence software, etc. which they claim are designed to make people rich. I think most people will flock to forex trading if that is the case.

The reality is that the perfect trading system does not exist as no indicator can predict the future with perfect accuracy. The truth is, the market can be learned and traders can increase their chances of winning with focus, patience and discipline.

Holy Grail is similar to the term "iron clad".....this is really a marking scheme to sell you on a fool proof system. Quite frankly, if I had a fool proof system, I wouldn't market it for fear that it would be reverse engineered

Holy Grail is a perceived perfect and ideal system to trade and to make profit in market. Everyone is trying to find their own holy grail. However, the holy grail of forex trading does exist.

During the trading day you may hear references to terms like "Grail buy" and "Grail sale". As the community of traders has evolved, the "Grail buy" has been nicknamed "the dip", implying a place where a buy may be set up. The "Grail sale" has been nicknamed "the ding", implying a place where a short sale may be set up. This refers to the Holy Grail technique, one of many useful trading techniques for any time frame, from Linda Bradford Raschke's book, Street Smarts. The basic concept is not new. It is widely used by those who trade trends with moving averages. The key is to buy pullbacks in an established uptrend, or sell bounces in an established downtrend and avoid trading ranges. Linda uses Welles Wilder's Average Directional Index (14-period ADX) to determine the strength of a trend, and then she uses a 20-period exponential moving average (EMA) to define support and entry points. When ADX is rising and above 30, she uses certain criteria to buy when prices retrace back to the 20-period EMA. This concept is good for entry points for both uptrends and downtrends.

Trading in the Forex Market is all about understanding some mathematical equation on Expectancy. In order for a trader to improve and gain long term consistent returns, one must definitely fully understand the meaning of expectancy.
