What is the difference between Metatrader 4, dealing desk, and non-dealing desk, etc...?

Metatrader is a trading platform just like tradestation, Dealing desk are were brokers trade against you,unlike the nondealimg desk. |

Metatrader 4 is a trading software as trading platform but dealing desk and non-dealing desk is the way broker conduct their business. |

I don't think it matters what platform you are trading. Theoretically, Dealing desk has more control on your trade or even delay the fill etc.. and on the other hand non dealing desk Broker doesn't intervene your trade. |
